This trailer was produced under contract by DEW Engineering in 1992 to a total of 1,973 trailers. These trailers were designed to carry general military stores or cargo towed by an "ILTIS" truck. They have a capability of travelling at the vehicle's maximum towing speed of 80 kph (50 mph) with a payload of 227 kg (500 lbs). These units also have the capability of travelling in rough terrain at lower speeds, and also may be outfitted for amphibious travel.
